How do I calculate a system ticket?

In order to calculate the winnings on your system ticket, it is necessary to calculate the stakes and winnings per combination. Divide the stakes with the number of combinations of your system ticket, and multiply this number with the odds received for the winning combinations. All possible winning combinations are summed up and you get a maximum possible win on your system ticket.

Minimum stake is R1 per combination online and R5 at Meridian betting shops.

With a system ticket, it is possible to win even if all your selections do not win. The types of systems a customer can play with Meridian are  as follows:

  • Ordinary system – in this type of system the player, out of the total number of pairs on the ticket must guess a minimum number of pairs in order for the ticket to be winning (for example, 3 out of 5, 4 out of 7, 2 out of 3)
  • Ordinary system with a fix – to a previous type of system a player adds a certain number of “fixes” (a “fix” is a match that must win in order for the ticket to pass, of course, with a minimum number of required hits from the system) (for example, 2/2 4/7; 1/1 2/5; 3/3 5/8)
  • System multiplied by system – in this type of system a player practically has several ordinary systems on his ticket, one after another (2/3 4/6 1/4 2/4)
  • System multiplied by system with a fix – to a previous type of system a certain number of fixes is added

Each system ticket has a certain number of combinations.

A table with the number of combinations can be seen at Lists and Additions on the site:

Each combination is practically a smaller ticket for as many pairs as the player required for minimum hits in the system (for example, system ticket 3 out of 5 has 10 combinations meaning that it is the same as if the player took 10 different tickets with 3 pairs each)
