General:
Customers can wage bets on greyhound racing from UK and Irish venues with Playa Bets. The following betting options are available. Greyhound names, where shown, are displayed for information only, with all bets being settled on the trap number.
Should a greyhound be withdrawn or is a non-runner all bets on that selection will be void with bets on the remaining runners in the race being settled at S.P. Where a no-race is declared, and is subsequently re-run, bets are settled on the re-run.
Should bets be taken after the start of the race (off-time), then these bets will automatically be made void and refunded.
Winner BP (Board Price):
A Board Price also known as a fixed price is quoted for a specific greyhound to win the race. The board price odds are agreed at the time the bet is struck and are fixed at this price. Dead heat rules apply.
Winner SP (Starting Prices)
The starting price of the greyhound is a win bet where you are betting on which greyhound will win the race and the price / odds you receive is the final price of the greyhound when the race starts. Your ticket will be settled at the official starting price of the greyhound you bet on. Dead heat rules apply.
Winner SP 1st Favourite:
Customers can bet on the SP favourite. The SP 1st Favourite is determined to be the greyhound with the smallest starting price odds when the race begins. Winning bets will be settled at the starting price of the favourite.
Winner SP 2nd Favourite:
Customers can bet on the second SP favourite. The SP 2nd Favourite is determined to be the greyhound with the second smallest starting price odds when the race begins. Winning bets will be settled at the starting price of the favourite.
Place English:
You are betting on your selection to finish in the first 2 places only.
Place American:
You are betting on your selection to finish in the first 2 places only.
Show American:
You are betting on your selection to finish in the first 3 places only.
Straight Forecast:
You are betting on the EXACT order of the first two runners to finish. For example, if you choose selection 5 & 3, then greyhound 5 must win the race and greyhound 3 must run second. Should 3 win and 5 run second, this will be a losing bet.
Combined Forecast:
You are betting on 2 selections to finish first and second place regardless of the winning order.
Straight Tricast:
You are betting on the EXACT order of the first three runners to finish. For example, if you choose selection 5, 3 & 2, then greyhound 5 must win the race, greyhound 3 must run second and greyhound 2 must run 3 third.
Combination Tricast:
You are betting on 3 selections to finish first, second and third place regardless of the winning order. If there is a non-runner in your ticket, the bet will be void.
Swinger:
You are betting on 2 selections to finish in the first 3 places regardless of order.
